yeah that is more or less the philosophy that made me resist adding new boards up until now. But it does seem like we're at a point where certain boards could probably be removed and replaced with other topics to try out. I wonder how much looking at the board list makes different types of users that visit quickly decide how interested they are in posting.

General rebranding of the existing boards could possibly go further than replacing them.

I could start getting very strict about what is posted on main but maybe that wouldn't be as useful as just coming up with thread ideas and trying them out.

I'm pretty open minded about what I would accept as long as the alternate theme is "finished." By that I mean you can't take out functionality without replacing it. For instance, you can't take out the Material icons unless you're going to replace them. You can't take out the media query code that makes it work on mobile unless you're going to replace it.

The easiest thing is probably to just leave all that stuff and instead focus on recolors and other touch ups.

If someone finished one I would push out a theme switcher.

It's possible that I will eventually get around to doing one myself but no ETA on that. I do still stand by that if someone does finish an alternate theme, I will make the theme switcher happen as a priority.

Just to clarify, it doesn't exist. There is one hidden board where you're technically allowed to post NSFW but it's a shitpost board not a porn board.

I think there are plenty of places on the Internet with erotic content that doesn't have the same culture as 4chan.

The thing that ultimately makes 4chan a place that is ripe for abuse is

1) the quantity of people, and

2) the administrators of the site don't care.

that being said, it's convenient that most people here don't seem to want it, because there doesn't seem to be anyone who wants to facilitate it either.

I'm gonna eventually release what I have so far, since it will save everything in the local storage and let you resume from there when the next update comes, but... I still want to have enough to be worth releasing too.
